Legal Perspectives on Market Communication
The course deals with the system of media and market law as well as its various and sometimes conflicting interests. The areas of law that are primarily affected are marketing legislation and intellectual property law.
Marketing legislation regulates how advertising and other marketing must be designed so as not to be illegal. The intellectual property issues dealt with in the course focus on copyright, design and trademarks. Particular emphasis is placed on how these intellectual property rights are used in practice as protection and means of competition.
