Statistical Computation

  • 7.5 credits

The course covers how different statistical computational problems can be solved by simulation and estimation with statistical software. The course covers basic principles in numerical computation and probability distributions and concepts, such as, numerical matrix algebra, equation solution, function optimization and simulation techniques. The course also gives an introduction to the software SAS, R and Matlab.
