Youth, Social Work and Violence in the Name of Honour
Taking a point of departure in the UN resolution against violence “in the name of honour”, we will discuss Swedish, Nordic and international theoretical approaches to honour related violence.
You will have the opportunity to analyse and reconstruct the living conditions and life situation of young people in what can be interpreted as an honour cultural context. Social work with youthful victims of honour related violence will also be problematised.
