This course provides advanced knowledge of dramaturgy and curating.
Students will learn about various types of dramaturgy and curating as practiced both within and outside theatre institutions, as well as at festivals and independent theatres. In addition, they will apply various curating concepts and theories of performing arts in order to analyse and evaluate specific forms of curating dramaturgy.
Instruction is given in the form of seminars, lectures and group exercises. The language of instruction is English. Attendance is mandatory.
The course is examined on the basis of a written take-home examination.
