Development and organisation of a curated event I

The course is practice-oriented and has strong connections to the cultural sector. It is given within the International Master’s Programme in Performance Studies.

The course provides knowledge about the application of methods and theories in curatorial dramaturgy as well as practical experience of how these methods and theories can be used in cultural institutions, such as museums and theatres. The course includes preparing a dramaturgical concept for a curatorial event in collaboration with relevant cultural institutions. During the course, students will engage with issues related to funding and marketing a curated event.

    Teaching format

    Teaching consists of seminars and practical group exercises.

    Assessment

    The course is examined on the basis of an oral presentation of a dramaturgical concept for a curated event.
