Pedagogical leadership in preschool
The preschool teacher has a special responsibility in the curriculum and thus a mission that includes more than leading the group of children. In this course, the preschool teacher's educational leadership is examined; arenas and practices, boundaries, expectations and prerequisites. The purpose is to prepare for professional leadership that favors children's learning and the work team's ability to carry out the preschool's mission.
Issues covered in the course are leadership in relation to the preschool teacher's tasks, colleagues, work teams, the preschool's management, and by extension also children, groups of children, guardians and the surrounding community.
The course also addresses the preschool teacher's leadership in relation to the task of carrying out education and teaching on a scientific basis as well as a sustainable and healthy leadership for the preschool teacher.
