Currently it is not possible to send emails through unless you are on a campus network. This  concerns mainly users of the ‘Thunderbird’ application and users with a (incorrectly configured) cellphone. The reason behind this block is that hackers with stolen SU credentials have sent large amounts of unsolicited emails, causing SU to be blocked against sending emails to some providers.

While we are working on a more permanent solution our recommendation is primarily the OWA (Outlook Web Access) available at Users of Thunderbird can also download and configure the ExQuilla official add-on by Mozilla (the developers of Thunderbird). There is a 1 month free trial period and we should have a more permanent solution available until then. Please note that we do not offer support on Thunderbird or any add-ons.

Concerning cellphones, if you configure your device according to the guide in Serviceportalen, it will work as intended.
