The new data protection regulation, GDPR, entered into force on 25 May. There are now instructions in place on how to implement the law at the University.

Data protection regulation in place – and instructions on the way

On 25 May 2018, the EU’s new data protection regulation (GDPR) entered into force. GDPR includes stricter rules for handling personal data, and a legal basis is required for all processing of such data. Moreover, adequate security measures must be in place to protect the data, and those who have been registered are entitled to know what personal data about them have been processed.
