HBC Sluga 2024 05 08 (217 Kb)

At stake in the current talk of a foundering international order are at least two centuries of interrupted thinking and practicing multilateralism. In this talk Glenda Sluga will survey what it means to think of the transformation of the European order at the end of the Napoleonic wars, after 1815, as the same moment that invented an international order. Sluga will take a long view of what was lost (and who lost), what was gained, and the place of Europe in that international history.

To open the door when entering Gula villan, please use the passcode 2022 at the entrance. After the seminar we will arrange a post-seminar mingle and offer some refreshments. If you plan to participate, please register HERE.

The seminars are organised with the support of the Helge Ax:son Johnson Foundation and the Magnus Bergvall Foundation.
