Med den nya, tvärvetenskapliga kursen ”Att motverka klimatförändringarna” som startar i höst vill Stockholms universitet bidra till lösningar på klimatkrisen. Kursen är öppen för studenter från alla ämnesområden.

Call for PhD course at Stockholm University Research School on Environment, Climate and Sustainability (15 March to 30 April)

Samhällsvetenskapliga miljöstudier är ett flervetenskapligt forskningsfält som behandlar vad som styr människors handlande, föreställningar och sätt att organisera sig i förhållande till miljön. Det handlar om att förstå de samhälleliga processer som leder till miljöförändringar eller är en reaktion eller anpassningar till dessa.

The Mistra Geopolitics programme includes a two-year Research School (forskarskola) in order to train next generation of scholars in methods, theories, and collection data for advanced analysis of geopolitics and sustainable development. It includes doctoral students enrolled in the Mistra Geopolitics programme as well as external graduate students.

Theme: Environmental Humanities (autumn 2018 - spring 2020)

The theme Environmental Humanities engages creatively with sustainability issues and problematizes the ways in which the human has overstepped his mark and by so doing jeopardized the future of the entire planet. The theme explores the burgeoning scholarly field of Environmental humanities, which aims to develop and extend the field of the humanities by challenging traditional notions of human exceptionalism in resituating the human within the environment, as an agent among other agents.
