Get to know new Post Doc Sara Casella
Sara will spend the academic year 2022/2023 at the IIES, funded by the Center for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability (CeMoF) at Stockholm University.

Hej Sara! Can you tell us a bit about your background?
- I am from Milan, Italy. I studied at Bocconi University and the London School of Economics before embarking on my PhD at the University of Pennsylvania. I just received my PhD in Economics, advised by Jesus Fernandez-Villaverde, Dirk Krueger, and Alessandro Dovis.
Sara's research interests are within macroeconomics
- Specifically, I study how labor income, health, and disability risk impact households and families. I am also working on understanding the role of intangible capital and disclosure regulation in shaping firm financing decisions, and on novel ways to bring data to models.
- I am incredibly excited to spend one year at CeMoF and the IIES as a post-doctoral fellow. I look forward to many conversations about research with economists and students and to becoming part of the Economics community at Stockholm University.
