We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Ann-Charlotte Änggård on June 27th at the age of 80.
Despite struggling with a severe physical handicap, she became one of the most longtime-serving members of the administrative staff of the IIES.
Ann-Charlotte joined the institute in 1988 and remained a highly valued administrative staff member until her retirement in 2005. For most of this time, she worked as the administrative assistant to Assar Lindbeck, supporting his work and the wider activities of the institute with great loyalty.
She made an important contribution to the smooth day-to-day functioning of the institute during a formative period in its development and helped foster a cooperative and inclusive atmosphere. For this we are very grateful and will always remember Ann-Charlotte with joy.
Lars Calmfors, Harry Flam, John Hassler, Per Krusell, Christina Lönnblad, Mats Persson, Torsten Persson and Jakob Svensson.
