Courses in English

The Department of Social Work at Stockholm University offers four different courses on social work and social policy in the Swedish welfare state. The courses are available at both bachelor's and master's levels and the courses are designed for students seeking knowledge about social work in the Swedish welfare state.

The course is given on both bachelor and advanced level, although only exchange students can take the course on bachelor level. The contents are mainly the same on both levels, but the literature and exams differ between the two levels.

The bachelor's level course is titled "Introduction to Social Work and Social Policy in the Swedish Welfare State," (SUE 130, 22,5 ECTS). This course is only available for exchange students at Stockholm university.

The master's level course is titled "Perspectives on Social Work and Social Policy in the Swedish Welfare State." (SU8350, 22,5 ECTS). 

Two free-standing courses that focus on the Swedish welfare state are also offered. They are titled “The Swedish Model BA” (SUE131, 7,5 ECTS) and “The Swedish Model MA” (SU8351, 7,5 ECTS).
