A new instrument for the SST, called Helium Spectropolarimeter (HeSP) is undergoing final testing in the lab at MPS in Germany where it was built. HeSP will be shipped to the SST before the start of the 2021 observing season. It is an imaging spectropolarimeter based on microlenses that will be able the observe the He I 10830 at the diffraction limit of the telescope and with sufficient time resolution to catch the fast processes occurring in the chromosphere of the Sun.
