The Council of the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, has approved the recommendation of the Nominations and Fellows Committee to award Professor Barbara Cannon an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (honoris causa).

This is in recognition of Professor Barbara Cannon outstanding contributions to and international leadership in, biological science, particularly relating to the physiology of brown adipose tissue.

Conferment of the award will take place at the College's Summer Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday 16th July 2014 at Central Hall Westminster, London.
