Louise’s thesis consists of four self-contained chapters that deals with four policy-relevant areas: the design of sickness insurance, financial support to poor families, the choice of pension funds, and midwife availability in low-resource settings. In all papers, empirical methods are used in attempt to estimate causal effects.

We would like to thank Magnus Johannesson for a great discussion.

We would also like to express our sincerest congratulations to Louise on her PhD and wish her all the best in her future endeavours!
