In early September, I visited the University of Southampton with a number of other university directors from Sweden. Among the challenges discussed were economic conditions, various security issues and increasing bureaucracy.
Open science is an important and integrated part of SciLifeLab, the national research infrastructure for molecular biosciences in Sweden. 90 percent of the articles from SciLifeLab in 2023 were published open access.
