Honest communication leads to changes in states of knowledge.  We give examples like a puzzle similar to the muddy children problem, Aumann's agreeing to disagree theorem and some sequels.  We discuss how states of knowledge can be created and how they affect action, and finally we discuss an application to campaigning in elections.
