Om mig

Anette Fasang is Full Professor of Micro Sociology, Humboldt University of Berlin, and Head of the research group on Demography and Inequality, WZB Berlin Social Science Center. She is a leading scholar in the development of sequence analysis for life-course research. Sequence analysis enables the study of an entire trajectory of life transitions (e.g., leaving home, education attainments, marrying/cohabiting, having children, employment careers, migration).

Her substantive work focuses on family life courses and economic inequality in a cross-nationally comparative perspective. During her visit at the Department of Sociology she will be in office B809, work closely with SUDA/SPaDE researchers, and facilitate connections with her WZB research group. She will also give seminars at the Demography colloquium (on May 2), and at other research centers in the Stockholm area.
