Our services
We offer researchers various services such as data access and analyses, sharing of statistical syntax files and advice on ordering and handling data. We also organise seminars on the use of Swedish databases for research within our field.
Data access and analyses
Via our four nodes, we offer access to well-documented data, help with data analyses and online data visualisation.
LNU
Researchers are welcome to apply to use LNU data for their own research purposes. Applications are assessed by a data disclosure committee consisting of researchers at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI).
Conditions for data disclosure and rules for using LNU data (in Swedish)
SLOSH
Researchers interested in working with data from the SLOSH study are welcome to contact us. Information about conditions is available on the SLOSH website (in Swedish).
Certain data can be explored through a visualisation tool on the website (in Swedish).
IMAS
For information about data access, please contact Kristina Alexanderson by e-mail kristina.alexanderson@ki.se or phone +46 8 524 832 00 (direct).
STODS
For information about data access, please contact Pia Svedberg pia.svedberg@ki.se or Jurgita Narusyte jurgita.narusyte@ki.se.
Information on publishing
When publishing original scientific articles with data from REWHARD, authors should include the following under "Acknowledgements" (or equivalent heading):
In English: "This work utilised data from the REWHARD consortium supported by the Swedish Research Council (VR #2021-00154)."
In Swedish: "I detta arbete användes data från REWHARD-konsortiet, som stöds av Vetenskapsrådet (dnr 2021-00154)."
Please note that there could be other requirements in addition to the above, for instance specified in your user agreement.
Advice on ordering and handling data
REWHARD offers advice on planning studies and on ordering and handling data from Swedish authorities and included cohort studies.
IMAS and STODS offer advice and assistance with:
- what data are needed for a specific research question
- study design
- ethics application
- quality control of delivered data
- data cleaning & data management
- management of sickness absence data
- syntaxes
- methodological questions.
Regarding these services, you are welcome to contact Kristina Alexanderson kristina.alexanderson@ki.se or Pia Svedberg pia.svedberg@ki.se
LNU and SLOSH also offer advice and support regarding the use of their data resources and on relevant study methodology.
Seminars, lectures and courses
We organise seminars on the use of Swedish databases for research within our field, for example on:
- ordering and handling register data
- design of studies based on different types of register and survey data
- social insurance medicine
- longitudinal methods.
Starting in 2022, we organise seminars on the use of survey and register data in research for researchers at universities in Sweden.
REWHARD organised a workshop on non-response in surveys with several international speakers in September 2022. For more information, please contact Beatrice Chaveroche beatrice.chaveroche@su.se.
