A new kind of dictionary by Prof. Michele Colombo and prof. Paolo D’Achille (Third University of Rome) has been published

The Repertorio Italiano di Famiglie di parole (Bologna, Zanichelli, 2019), edited by Michele Colombo (University of Stockholm) and Paolo D’Achille (Third University of Rome), is a new dictionary of Italian word families: every word familiy is shown under its latin, greek or germanic root (the progenitor lemma, “lemma capostipite” in Italian) and organized in order to let the reader grasp the relationships between family members. At the end of the dictionary all lemmas are listed again in alphabetical order. The dictionary is intended as a tool to enrich the vocabulary of both L1 and L2 students of Italian; a set of exercises is provided on the publisher’s website.
