You find the answers to the most common questions we usually get about the Executive MBA programme.

 

The Executive MBA program consists of 4 semesters where each semester costs SEK 112 500 excluding VAT.
The total cost of the 21-month program is SEK 450,000 excluding VAT and it is paid by your employer as the fee must be paid by a legal entity.

 

No. The Executive MBA-programme is a commissioned education that must be paid for by a legal entity.

 

Yes, you can, under certain conditions, make deductions in business activities for expenses in connection with an employee attending an education.

We are the only university in Sweden that offers an Executive MBA program with Swedish as the main language.
Most courses are taught in Swedish, but there are some courses taught in English.
Most of the course literature is also in English. Therefore, it is required that you have a good knowledge of both languages.

Partly. The lectures take place every other Thursday afternoon (start at 1 pm) and Friday all day. It is recommended that you attend these events. The program also includes some remote seminars via Zoom.

 

The training lasts for 21 months. Usually starting in September and ending in June.

 

The studies are conducted at 50%. Beside the scheduled time, which is 8 hours per week on average, approximately the same amount of time is required for self-study between lectures.
In the end, it is up to the individual what level of ambition is reasonable.
What you get out of the courses is directly proportional to how much time you study.

 

An Executive MBA is aimed at you who are in a decision-making position, and have come a little further in your career (the average age of our participants is approx. 40 years).
An Executive MBA is a program that is usually sponsored and paid for by your employer.
During an Executive MBA program, you can expect to gain many insights from the other participants in the group, who also contribute experience from a variety of industries and positions.

When you have finished the education and have passed all courses including your thesis work, you will receive a master's degree in business administration (Swedish), MSc in Business Administration (English).
You will receive both a diploma from Stockholm Business School showing that you have completed an Executive MBA and a diploma from Stockholm University.
 

 

Yes. The education corresponds to 60 higher education credits.

 

We recommend that you as a participant have a previous bachelor's degree, or the equivalent.
In some cases, depending for example on previous experience and different types of education, we can make exceptions to the requirement.

We recommend that you have at least 7 years of work experience, but there are no formal requirements.
