The podcast AnthroTalking is a student initiative. Each episode will feature interviews with anthropologists from Sweden and abroad. You will hear them reflect upon their work and their experiences in the field, and comment on a wide array of issues and debates.

The first episode of AnthroTalking features an interview with Ruben Andersson, postdoctoral research fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science and an affiliated researcher at the Department of Social Anthropology, Stockholm University.

In the interview, Ruben Andersson discusses his current research on the challenges of the international interventions in Mali that presently is a highly dangerous area. He talks about the aspects of the new landscape of international intervention and the fear that shapes these operations in the dangerous environment. He also points out the challenges and the contributions of doing anthropological research in this field.
