The position as a researcher is connected to the comparative social policy research carried out at SOFI and part of the project GENPARENT; Revealing Sources of Gendered Parenthood: A multi-method comparative study of the transition to parenthood in same-sex and opposite-sex couples, funded by the European Research Council (ERC).
The project focuses on the division of work and care in same-sex and different-sex couples with children in the Nordic countries, the Netherlands and the United States. Based on analyses of population registers, the project aims at increasing knowledge about care-, work- and income-related consequences of the transition to parenthood.
