Internationellt masterprogram i psykologi

Psykologiska institutionen lanserar ett nytt två-årigt internationellt masterprogram i psykologi. Programmet är mångsidigt och ger dig möjlighet att fördjupa dina kunskaper inom olika delar av psykologin. Du har stora möjligheter att skräddarsy utbildningen efter dina behov.

Utbildningen ges på engelska så vi rekommenderar i första hand den engelska versionen av den här sidan.

Psykologiska institutionen erbjuder kurser så att du kan läsa hela utbildningen hos oss, men det finns också möjlighet att läsa andra kurser på Stockholms universitet eller på andra universitet i Sverige eller utomlands, t ex genom ett studentutbyte. Alla kurser behöver inte ens vara i psykologi.

Vi erbjuder till exempel kurser i socialpsykologi, evolutionär psykologi, kognition, biologisk psykologi, utvecklingspsykologi samt arbets- och organisationspsykologi.

I programmet ingår också forskningsmetodik som är användbar i arbetslivet i allmänhet men också är en god förberedelse för vidare studier på forskarnivå i psykologi.

Welcome to the Department of Psychology at Stockholm University!

About the corona situation

Stockholm University follows the recommendations of the Public Health Agency and the government's decision to ban public events and public gatherings with over 50 participants. The University will be open for the autumn semester. Teaching in the first two periods of the semester (August 31 - November 2) will mainly be conducted online (with some exceptions). You can stay up-to-date by checking our website were you will also find the course schedule, as well as the student platform Athena. These arrangements are subject to change with short notice should new guidelines be published by the government.

Check selection results and reply to your offer

You will receive your Notification of Selection Results from on July 9. This will tell you if you have been offered a place or placed on reserve (waiting list) for our program. You must reply to this offer before July 24 if you wish to keep your place - this includes reserves. On July 30 you will receive your second and final selection results.

Compulsory registration for admitted applicants

(If you are conditionally admitted, see further down in this box.)

In order to keep your place on the program you must register in the following way:

  • Activate your university student account at This can be done from August 10.
  • You will now have access to the administrative system Ladok at, where you have to register for the first semester. When you register for the courses you will automatically be registered on the program.
  • The online registration is open from August 10 to August 16. If you have not registered by August 16 (23:59 CET) you will lose your place on the program. We make no exceptions for anybody who has not registered on time.
  • If you have not yet received a civic registration number (“personnummer”) or experience other complications with your registration, please contact us by e-mail ( before August 16 (23:59 CET), or you will lose your place on the program.

Conditionally admitted

If you are conditionally admitted, you have to prove that you have the necessary prerequisites for the program before we can register you (you will not be able to register online). You must do this before August 16. Send an email to containing verification that you fulfill the requirements (for example, a copy of your final transcript and degree certificate). Please note that it is not enough that you have the equivalent of 180 credits. You must have a degree certificate or a certificate stating that you have applied for the degree certificate in order to register for the program.

Introduction meeting and first lecture

On Tuesday September 2 at 12.00-13.00 there will be an introduction meeting for all new students admitted to the International Master’s Program in Psychology. The meeting will be held on campus but also on Zoom, which means that you can choose to participate either in person or online.
