Eva Andersson, Bo Malmberg and Pontus Hennerdal received 5 mkr from Vetenskapsrådet for their project, Education attitudes, parental preferences, and school performance in a changing educational landscape. They focus on increasing differences in educational background between regions, increasing residential segregation by ethnic origin in Swedish metropolitan regions, and increasing school segregation by ethnic origin in Swedish metropolitan regions and increasing performance differences between schools. The project adopts a geographical perspective within the theory that the social environment in the form of neighbors and this case schoolchildren (peer effects), affect children and young people's choices and attitudes for future educational achievements.

Congratulations, all!
