We are very pleased to announce that SPaDE’s associate coordinator Gunnar Andersson has received the 2013 Mattei Dogan Award for Comparative Research in Demography from the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population. The award recognizes the contribution a scholar has made to the development of population studies by drawing on different disciplinary perspectives and for the importance that this work has accorded to international comparisons. The IUSSP, founded in 1928, is the premier international association of population scientists. The Mattei Dogan award is given only once every four years and will be presented to Gunnar in August at the association's quadrennial meeting in Busan, South Korea.
