Practical information and code of conduct

During term time, several hundred students visit Språkstudion every week. On this page, we describe some practical information and a code a conduct that help making this work as smoothly as possible.

  • You need to register to Språkstudion to get full access to our resources. Your access is then connected to your university card.
  • To log in to our computers, use your university account. It is the same username and password you need to access the library resources or Athena.
  • Please log out from your computer when you leave it, and do not turn it off. The computer will set itself in energy saving mode. It is important to us to have it on in order to carry out updates and maintenaince remotely.
  • Do not save files locally on Språkstudion's computers. Use smart clouds or other data storage solutions instead. The user accounts are regulrily cleared, and we can not retrieve your lost work.
  • You are welcome to borrow headsets, laptops and books at our front desk, but not to take them away from our premises.
  • You can see available computer seats and group room hours one week ahead. We use a drop-in system on the basis of this availability.
  • You can do printouts from Språkstudion via the university's Printomat system. There is a Printomat printer in the corridor opposite our front desk. You need your university card to get your printouts.
  • During our opening hours, there is always staff at our front desk. Don't hesitate to ask if you have quetions. We can help you by controlling your computer remotely if needed.
  • Please tell us if you find something that doesn't work properly or if you have suggestions for development of our rooms and resources. It will help us greatly to improve our centre.
