Last week, Zoom announced that they would introduce the "waiting room" feature as the default setting for all meetings. Now Zoom has changed their mind and the waiting room will not be mandatory after all.

In November, however, a change will take place which means that all meetings must have at least one of three security settings activated. This means that you must either use a password, waiting room or have checked that only authorized users can join. The recommendation is to use those functions to avoid interruptions in your meetings.

The reason for the change is, of course, to try to avoid unauthorized people joining meetings to sabotage which has happened in the past.
