Several SU colleagues have lately reported cases of so called “CEO fraud phishing”, i.e. that they have received emails that purport to be from university and department heads. The goals of such frauds varies, but basically they try to convince you that you are to act (unwisely) upon the orders of your boss. Examples include to authorise payment to a "supplier", or to buy gift cards. If you receive uncharacteristic email instructions from what appears to be your boss, good general advice is to double check those instructions through an alternative communication channel, such as by phone.
