Not just waiting. Large parts of the University are already committed to intensive work for the new model and system and will continue to be involved going forward. The preparatory work for a new financial system began back in 2018. During that phase many people in the University were involved, which was important in order for us to gather opinions about how the new university financial model should work. Now, before the summer, there is a major effort to prescribe how the different parts of the financial system will be set up, at the same time as preparatory work is underway in all the departments and offices to "clear out" the old system and prepare for the new one.

The aim of the Financial Project is to simplify, improve and clarify the financial operations at the University as a whole, in order to create an efficient and coherent service for the education and research at the University. In order to succeed with such a major project it is important that all areas of the University participate and this across departmental and office boundaries. So I am very happy to see so much commitment. The introduction of a new system will at times mean challenges, but challenges which I am convinced we can resolve together specifically due to the commitment that exists throughout University.
