Information på svenska om EU-finansiering

Why are EU projects special?

Since EU projects are legally binding for the whole University, they are subject to the following rules:

  • All projects must have the approval of the head of department.
  • All agreements are signed by the head of Office for Research, Engagement and Innovation Services (REIS) (on delegation from the President). An exception applies to Erasmus+ which is handled by Student Services.
  • REIS provides legal advice when contracts are set up (Grant agreement, Consortium agreement).
  • The use of the EU emblem in the context of EU programmes 2021-2027

REIS offers the following support:

  • Tips and advice before and during the process of writing your application.
  • Review of the project budget.
  • Assistance with administrative information during the application process and contract negotiations.
  • Guidance during the project, e.g. in connection with project reports.

Procedure for EU-funded research projects

Horizon Europe

Horizon Europe is the EU's framework program, which allocates EUR 95.5 billion to research and innovation during the seven-year period 2021-2027. There are great opportunities for financing individual project grants, mobility initiatives and support for infrastructure and research in thematically oriented consortia.
