Strategic funding
The strategic funding focuses on research and Ph.D. studies. No funding will be granted to ongoing, continuous activities.
Strategic funding refers to cross-faculty research initiatives and cross-faculty collaborations. The term cross-faculty here means that the project involves applicants from at least two departments from different faculties within the Human Science academic area (i.e. humanities, law or social sciences). The meaning of strategic here implies that the activities are expected to go beyond what there is normally considered to be room for within the faculty's research activities. The purpose of the strategic funding, thus, is to support extraordinary initiatives where the funding from the Board of Human Science is likely to produce a surplus value. Funding will not be granted to activities of the character "more of the same".
