Ordering access cards and keys

Within each department or office there is at least one person who is authorised to order new access cards or keys. You can order access cards and keys and change access card authorisations via the Serviceportalen/Lokal och fastighet

Monitoring and extra monitoring

All departments and offices have a basic monitoring that is included in the rent of the premises. In addition to the basic monitoring the departments/offices can order extra monitoring via the Service Portal. To guarantee access to security guards we want you to place the order at least five (5) working days before it is needed. Extra monitoring is charged with SEK 600 / hour and guards. Extra monitoring is ordered via: Service portal/order of security guards

Event security

For those who arrange lectures or seminars and invite lecturers, security officers at the university have developed a checklist (see below) for risk assessment. Send your completed checklist to email: sakerhet@su.se and brandsakerhet@su.se. You will then receive feedback if your event needs to be reinforced with additional security measures.

Incident reporting

Everyone on the university's premises must report incidents, occupational injuries and police reports via the university's system for incident reporting. This is important for us to be able to work strategically to prevent and manage accidents and incidents. Read more about the IA system (reporting an incident)

Alarm

Stockholm University have many alarm points scattered around different parts of campus. The alarms are received by the university’s security guards who assess the nature of the alarm and can, if necessary, quickly get to the alarm point. If you accidentally trigger an alarm, wait at the scene until security personnel arrive. It is also important that the personnel responsible for the alarm system regularly go through the facility to restore alarms that are faulty.

It is the responsibility of each department/office to develop explicit routines where it is clear which people have undergone training via the section for safety. The department/office is responsible for drawing up a contact list of which contacts the security guard should call in the event of incidents at the department/office. For example, it may be that a freezer / refrigerator breaks down or in the event of a burglary. If you have questions regarding alarms, please contact security coordinator Jan Ekström, e-mail: jan.ekstrom@su.se

SMS in case of events

When/if an important or serious event occurs at the university, an SMS is sent to those in charge at the department or office concerned. The purpose of the SMS is to make sure that the right recipient is quickly made aware of the information and that the information can be disseminated to those affected in the own department/office.
If you have questions or want to report / update the mobile number of the contact person, please contact security coordinator Thomas Hårberg, e-mail: thomas.harberg@su.se
