Åsa Borin, Deputy University Director and Head of the Office of the President, has been acting University Director since April when Eino Örnfeldt was appointed Director General of the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR). On 1 September Åsa Borin will take over permanently as the new University Director and Head of the University administration at Stockholm University.

In a blog post, President Astrid Söderbergh Widding writes that “crucial for the decision has been the competence Åsa has shown and the grounded and strong trust she enjoys in the business, by virtue of her deep knowledge of the university, acquired from her time as a doctoral student in chemistry and later through a series of managerial duties as Head of Faculty Office, Assistant Director of Administration and Deputy University Director ”.
Åsa Borin has been a member of the Senior management team for several years.
