Welcome to a breakfast webinar with Malin Oud,  Director of the Stockholm Office and the China Programme at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. To strengthen the awareness of China’s diplomatic discourse and  interpretations of key terms in international relations and cooperation, Malin Oud has co-authored a practical guide for European policy-makers and institutions, entitled The Decoding China Dictionary (www.decodingchina.eu).

Using China as an example, Malin Oud underlines that international collaboration between countries and people is important and necessary. Nevertheless, as successful international cooperation can only be achieved through mutual awareness of the intentions and expectations by all parties involved, universities have a lot to gain by analyzing the way in which academic agreements and collaborations are developed.

Johan Lagerkvist,  Director of Stockholm Center for Global Asia at the department of political science, will contribute to the seminar with specific reflections from Stockholm University perspective.
