Business, Ethics and Sustainability semester 2-6

As a program student on the Bachelor's program in Business Ethics and Sustaianbility, 180 credits, you must register for the next semesters via the University Admissions.

You are guaranteed a place for each semester of the programme, given that you meet the eligibility requirement and have applied for the course/course module via www.universityadmissions.se / www.antagning.se

Do not forget to accept you place after the first selection and do not forget that you must register for the courses otherwise you will lose your guaranteed place.

Semester 1

During the first semester you are studying the course module Introduction to Business Studies:
Principles of Marketing 7,5 ECTS
Principles of Accounting 7,5 ECTS
Principles of Management 7,5 ECTS
Principles of Finance 7,5 ECTS

The course module Global Business Studies, which constitutes semester 2 of the programme, includes four courses in Business Administration:

Global Markets 7.5 ECTS
Business, Politics and Culture 7.5 ECTS
Consumption, Culture and Commerce 7,5 ECTS
Global Business Ethics 7.5 ECTS

Application semester 2

Global Business Studies, 30 credits, is given in the spring semester. Admission round is open September 15 - October 15.

Students should formally apply for the second semester via www.universityadmissions.se / www.antagning.se no later than October 15. The application should be made for "Global Business Studies", 30 credits, and students need to log in through the Stockholm University student portal to access the application for the course.

The eligibility requirement for the second semester is 15 credits in Business Administration from semester one, not counting the fourth course that will not be reported before the start of the second semester. The eligibility will be verified before the registration for the second semester.

The third semester comprises two mandatory first-cycle courses worth a total of 30 HE credits.

The main field of study: Other Subjects within Natural Science.

The courses are provided by Stockholm Resilience Center. Application via the University Admissions:

Sustainability science I, 15 ECTS credits

Sustainability science II, 15 ECTS credits

The semester comprises one mandatory first-cycle course worth a total of 30 HE credits.

The main field of study: Philosophy.

The course is provided by the Department of Philosophy. Registration via survey sent out by the department (SBS)

Practical Philosophy 30 ECTS credits

The fifth semester is an elective semester. You can choose if you want to study abroad or if you want to study elective courses at SBS or at other Universities in Sweden.

Application semester 5

During the fifth semester you can pursue your own study interest and choose from a wide range of elective courses at the university. You can even take your electives in business administration at SBS. An overview of the elective course modules in Business Administration at SBS will be found under the heading: Course Module in Business Administration, subject specialization

Enrolment in electives in Business Administration is done via: www.universityadmissions.se / www.antagning.se. Last application date is April 15.

Students who wish to study other subjects than Business Administration during their elective semester are welcome to apply for such courses via www.universityadmissions.se / www.antagning.se.

Please note that no placement is guaranteed in other courses than Business Administration electives at SBS.

If you are interested in studying abroad via exchange, you may apply to SBS Exchange programme. The application term is semester 4.
Information about exchange opportunities via SBS

Students can also apply for exchange placement via the central International Office at Stockholm University. The application period is generally one year ahead of the exchange semester.

Business Administration III, 30 credits, constitute semester 6th of the programme.

BES students will register for the sixth semester by applying for Business Administration III Marketing or Business Administration III Management

  • Bachelor's Degree Thesis in Business Administration 15 credits

The eligibility requirement is 60 credits in the main field of Business Administration, whereof 45 credits from Principles of Management, 7,5 credits, Principles of Marketing, 7,5 credits, Principles of Accounting, 7,5 credits, Principles of Finance, 7,5 credits, Global Markets, 7,5 credits, Business, Politics and Culture, 7,5 credits, Consumption, Culture and Commerce, 7,5 credits, and Global Business Ethics, 7,5 credits; or equivalent.

Students need to log in to www.universityadmissions.se / www.antagning.se through the Stockholm University student portal to access the application for the course. In order to be guaranteed placement in their selected specialization, BES students must meet the eligibility requirements and apply for Business Administration III with the correct programme-specific code no later than April 15 for the autumn semester or October 15 for the spring semester.
