The research in accounting focuses on financial accounting, governance of the public sector, auditing and finance, and business management and operations management, respectively. Operation management is central to the design and control of production processes of goods and services. It is a basic tool for contributing to financial efficiency in companies and organizations.

Research in finance covers a majority of the main areas of financial research. In particular, research has focused on risk management and derivatives, corporate governance and the microstructure of financial markets.

Management research deals with general questions about how power is exercised in society at large and more specifically in various companies, organizations, associations and social movements. Research in management has a wide range and covers areas such as human resource management, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, health and lifestyle management, project and team-based management, the formation of elites and their influence in companies, organizations and society.

In marketing, research is about strategic marketing both between companies and consumers as well as between different companies, about consumer behavior and consumer culture, and about corporate and market communication.
