The Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice, in cooperation with the Swedish branch of the International Law Association, invites you to a panel with Marie Jacobsson and Pål Wrange on "South Africa v. Israel in the International Court of Justice"
Warm welcome to a discussion on the case between South Africa and Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Marie Jacobsson and Pål Wrange will explore the ICJ's role in this and other genocide-related cases and discuss the legal implications of the Court's provisional measures issued on January 26.
Speakers:
- Marie Jacobsson: Former Ambassador and Legal Adviser on International Law at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and former Special Rapporteur at the UN International Law Commission.
- Pål Wrange: Professor of International Law at Stockholm University and Director of SCILJ.
Both speakers are also members of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague.
