Professor Phoebe Okowa elected to the International Court of Justice
With a distinguished career in international law, Professor Phoebe Okowa — honorary doctor at Stockholm University and member of the Centre’s International Advisory Board — has been elected to the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations.
Professor Phoebe Okowa of Queen Mary University has just been elected as a Member of the International Court of Justice, with immediate effect.
Judge Okowa received an honorary doctorate at Stockholm University in 2024 and she is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice.
