View the Askö inlet live streamed from our web camera

The sea outside of the Askö laboratory is live streamed from a web camera on our weather station. See what the sea looks like right now - Are the waves beating or is the sea calm? Is the sun shining or is the night sky reflected in the sea? Maybe you will see a white tailed eagle fly by or detect some of the birds that are breeding on the islands.

The Askö weather station is just a click away! With our weather stations on Askö and on the research vessel R/V Electra af Askö, we collect data that can be used in research and environmental monitoring.

Data from the weather station on R/V Electra is updated once per night and the weather on Askö is updated in real time.

We hope that we will be able to develop the weather station whithin the near future, with sensors in the water for measurements om temperature and salinity, says Eva Lindell, head of the Askö Laboratory.
