Partnerships and collaborations

As a research library we collaborate with partners within and outside Stockholm University, such as other libraries and organisations. We also participate in various research and educational networks.

 

DiVA

DiVA portal is a search tool and an institutional repository for research publications and student theses written at 50 universities and research institutions. Stockholm University uses DiVA as a publication database, and Stockholm University Library contributes both in the construction of the database and strategically in terms of DiVA’s long-term development.

The National Library of Sweden

Stockholm University Library has many collaborations with the National Library of Sweden that concern national cooperation, open access and publishing issues. Via the steering group for the Bibsam Consortium, which is managed by the National Library, Stockholm University Library also works with the development of strategies for procurement of license agreements for access to e-journals, databases and e-books.

Stockholm University Library is also engaged in the project “Digitalization of the Swedish Print”, together with the National Library of Sweden and four other university libraries (Gothenburg, Lund, Umeå and Uppsala).

LIBRIS

The University Library contributes to the construction of the content of the digital search service LIBRIS, which is Sweden's national library catalogue with information on titles in Swedish libraries.

Swedish Library Association

The Swedish Library Association is a non-profit association with the aim of promoting  a national library system. It has both libraries and individuals as members. Stockholm University Library is an institutional member.

SUHF (The Association of Swedish Higher Education Institutions) 

Stockholm University Library is part of several expert and reference groups in SUHF, such as open science and research data groups.

CERL (Consortium of European Research Libraries)

As a member of CERL, Stockholm University Library contributes to the sharing of resources and expertise between research libraries, in order to improve access to, and preservation of, the printed European cultural heritage.

EOSC (European Open Science Cloud)

Under the direction of Wilhelm Widmark, Library Director at Stockholm University Library, , who is a member of the board of EOSC, the University Library works for an open and common research infrastructure in Europe.

Koha

The University Library uses parts of Koha, which is a free and open library system, based on open-source code. The library collaborates and actively participates nationally and internationally in various networks.

LIBER

LIBER is Europe's largest network of research libraries and has over 400 members. Stockholm University Library has been a member of this network for a considerable time and promotes issues in the field of open science, among other things.
