In addition to the Frescati Library, there are four other libraries at Stockholm University where you can use your university card or loan account. The information below mainly concerns the Asia Library.
The Asia Library is part of the university library (Frescati Library) and is located in its own premises in Kräftriket. Other libraries at Stockholm University that belong to a Department are the JMK Library, the Latin America Library, and the Mathematics Library.

If you are a student at the Department of Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish Studies, you have access to the Asia Library, via a port code that you receive from the Department or the library staff.

On the upper floor of the library there are eight computers, all of which are equipped with word processors which can handle different alphabets and character systems.
The Asia Library is located one floor up without elevator access. It can therefore be difficult to get to the library, if disabled or wheel-chair bound. The library staff are on hand to help with literature searching, retrieval and lending of books. Please contact us before your visit and we will help you.
The books at the Asia Library are arranged according to language: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic and Indian literature, as well as Asian literature written in western languages. There is also a separate room with reference literature in these languages.
Journals and Newspapers
In the library there is a Journal and Newspaper Room which is open to staff and students during normal library opening hours.
Other journals have been moved to the Frescati Library Repository and can be ordered via the Libris Catalogue.
