MRI equipment
SUBIC operates a Siemens Prisma 3 Tesla whole-body MRI. The system includes a 64 head/neck, a 20 channel head coil, as well as some additional small target coils.
The Prisma features “connectome” gradients with 80mT/m maximum gradient amplitude and 200 T/m/s maximum slew rate and a stabilized gantry that are optimized for DTI, along with and on-board GPU processor to allow rapid image reconstruction for multiband EPI and other high-throughput imaging. To facilitate behavioral neuroscience studies within the MR environment, SUBIC offers several ancillary equipment (see list below).

List of ancillary equipment
Among others, our ancillary equipment includes:
Visual presentation (NordicNeurolab, 4K UHD LCD display)
High-quality headphones (Optoacoustics)
Fiberoptic response pads (Current Designs)
Psychophysiological measures (BioPac MP160)
- Galvanic skin response (GSR)
- Heart rate
- Breathing rate and magnitude
- Electromyography (EMG)
- Electric stimulus delivery
Eye tracker (TRACKPixx3, VPixx)
- 2kHz binocular distance eye tracker, 1.7ms latency
Odor presentation system
- Olfactometer with 8 odor channels
Low pass filters in the magnet room penetration panels allow custom interfacing of other stimulus and monitoring equipment using DB and BNC connectors.
