This presentation explores an overview of clinical magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) of the brain, focusing on its application and technique. MRS is a powerful non-invasive imaging method that offers unique insights into the biochemical composition of brain tissue, offering clinicians and researchers a deeper understanding of neurological disorders. Through case studies and technical discussions, we will examine the role of MRS in diagnosing and monitoring various brain conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases, brain tumours, and metabolic disorders. Additionally, we will delve into the technical aspects of MRS, including pulse sequence design, spectral analysis methods, and data interpretation strategies. By the end of this presentation, I hope that you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the clinical utility and technical complexities of MRS in neuroimaging.
