On the 7th of March, 2024, two SUBIC staff members, Rita Almeida and Tunhe Zhou, attended the semifinal competition of Unga Forskare at Albanova Center as jury members. Students in Year 3 from different high schools presented 40 projects as posters and small demonstrations. The projects were diverse and interesting, ranging from research on solar panels to AI segmentation in medical imaging. After heated debate, 11 projects were selected for the final competition. Additionally, one water prize and one future prize were awarded to projects that are inspirational and related to water, or have a huge future impact, respectively.

SUBIC strives to engage in such public science events to encourage the public and younger generations to pursue science and contribute to a sustainable and smart future society.
