Stockholm University Brain Imaging Centre (SUBIC) is happy to announce that the Time Grant 2021 will open for application on 1st of September. The grant consists of free of charge access to one of the method platforms SUBC offers, including X-ray microscope, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, EEG, and eye-tracker.

The time grant award can be used, for example, to collect pilot data for future grant applications. It can also be used to collect data for a first study in a research field where the imaging technique in question has not been commonly used at SU.

Who can apply?

Any researcher (awarded a PhD before the grant deadline) whose main official affiliation is one of Stockholm University’s departments can apply.

When is the application deadline?

The deadline is October 7th 2021

When will the decision be announced?

Notification of grant award will be on October 21th 2021

How will the applications be assessed?

Applications will be assessed by a committee consisting of SUBIC staff and researchers tied to SUBIC. Projects will be assessed based on their scientific value as well as prior experience and existing funding of the applying research group.

Priority will be given to projects with perceived high scientific value, as well as to groups with no, or limited, experience with the instrument in question, no history of previously awarded in-house funding, no external funding for the project in question, and where the estimated potential of the project in question is that it will lead to future externally funded projects (listed in no specific order).
