Swedish for International Students

Swedish for International Students

    Swedish for International Students

We offer six different levels of Swedish credible courses on a complementary basis, divided from level 1 for beginners to level 6 for more advanced language users.

These courses are eligible for international students admitted to a course, through an exchange program, bachelor/master or an equivalent agreement (scholarship, doctoral candidate, visiting researcher), containing at least 15 ECTS at Stockholm University.

A placement test is arranged for students with some knowledge of Swedish.

NB. It is not possible to apply to one of these courses if you are not a student at Stockholm University, or will be studying less than 15 ECTS at Stockholm University during the semester you apply for.

It is also not possible to apply for a higher level without taking the placement test or without passing the previous level. Under certain circumstances costs can be associated to this course.

Getting a buddy is a smart thing to do. You make new friends, you get someone to help you with questions and concerns, and someone to contact if you want to know more about Stockholm. It is also a great way to learn basic language skills.
