Study with us

Studying at a small unit with great knowledge of its subject is something many value with the education at AKPA. Here, students experience that they are seen and receive a high-quality education.

The labour market is a central part of our society. At the same time, it is constantly changing. With us at AKPA, you get a broad and current knowledge of the Swedish labour market and the unique Swedish model. Our teachers have a close connection to the latest research in the field and give you a good knowledge of how individuals, organizations and authorities relate to the labour market.

Our teachers

If you choose to study at AKPA, you will have some of Sweden's most prominent researchers in labour market and social research as teachers.

For fifty years, the education in labor market knowledge has consistently been able to maintain a high quality, largely thanks to our teachers, many of whom also work as researchers at the Institute for Social Research (SOFI) here at Stockholm University.

At SOFI, research is conducted in the main areas of economics and sociology with a focus on social policy, welfare, inequality and the labour market. The teaching with us at AKPA is consistently characterized by a close connection between teaching and research. We believe that the courses at AKPA are multidisciplinary and consist of a mixture of labour market sociology, labour law and labour market economics, offering as comprehensive a picture of the labour market as possible.

Our students

Our education gather students who have an interest in labour market issues, regardless of future plans and background. For some it is the first time they are studying at university level, for others it is a desire to change career path that has attracted them back to studies again.

Regardless of the reason, all our students receive a solid education that they feel they benefit from in working life.
