Karin Edmark New Member of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council
Karin Edmark, Associate Professor of Economics at the Swedish nstitute for Social Research (SOFI), has been appointed as a new member of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council.
Karin Edmark, Associate Professor of Economics at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University, has been appointed as a new council member of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council.
Edmark has an extensive background in research on the labor market and the education system. She has recently worked on research projects analyzing the labor market for preschool staff and the effects of secondary education. She has also participated in an interdisciplinary project on school choice reforms in Norway in collaboration with researchers from the University of Bergen and University College London.
The Swedish Fiscal Policy Council is an independent authority tasked with reviewing and evaluating the government's fiscal policy. The council works to ensure that fiscal policy is sustainable in the long term and effectively contributes to macroeconomic balance.
